Our Fearless Retreat for women only with the level Intermediate or Intermediate-Advanced. Surf coaching & video analysis with Nica Rosario from Surfmorecoaching and surf mental training & breathwork with Kim Chareonbood.
Sat, 13.5. – Sat, 20.5.2023 (fully booked)
Nica from Surfmorecoaching is the top coach of Peniche! With his innovative way of coaching, you’ll learn so much in one week that you wouldn’t learn in a year on your own. Improve your take-off, speed generating, bottom and top turn. And if that already works, then practice the cut-back, floater and snaps.
Mentally, your main goal is to release your mental blocks. Main topics are fear, self-confidence, feeling insecure and frustrated. For example: fear of waves that feel too big and steep (even if they are within your skill level) or fear of wiping out, lack of confidence in a crowded line-up, quickly falling into negative thinking and then becoming frustrated, etc.
And all this in a small group of like-minded women! Go ahead, sign up – there are only 6 spots available!
Online-preparation from home
To prepare yourself mentally, the retreat starts a month before: Get access to our online members area with videos on basic mental techniques as well as a personal 1:1 online mental coaching with Kim.
Surf coaching & video analysis
Nica has you practice certain moves already on land so you understand exactly what to do on the board. During coaching, we will give you tasks to complete. After the surf session we analyze your technique in the video analysis.
Courage, self-confidence & flow
Overcome fear, build confidence and gain courage. Learn how to stay composed and create your own ideal mental warm-up. Get familiar with the power of your thoughts. With lots of practical exercises in the water and on land.
Fear starts in your mind. Courage as well!

Women only retreat from June ’21 in Aljezur with a really cool group of like-minded people!
Our first surf training retreat in Peniche in 2019.
We find it most beautiful when we hear about our participants‘ progress after a coaching session or joining one of our retreats. Bright eyes, the excitement in their voice, the joy of getting better. Read for yourself what others have experienced:
Before the training week I was surfing a lot but lost the joy of surfing. It so often happened that I paddled for a wave but didn’t catch any and didn’t really know what to do. The surf training week really helped me. The combination of coaching and mental training was perfect for me. Today is the second day after the end of the week – I am still in Peniche – and I was alone in the water this morning. It was great, I paddled for many waves and got many. Before, I got maybe one wave in an hour. I just had fun, thanks to the week. Thank you Kim!
The surf coaching week was a great experience for me because it was actual technique training and not just surf guiding, where you’re kind of just left on the beach. We did dry training and learned what to pay attention to when catching a wave. Since the training, I now know if I want to surf right or left, I have to look at where I want to go and that works. It works much better than before. Also, the mental training prepared me well to go into the waves and have fun. Yes, we had so much fun, it was a great house, great training, and great coaches – thank you!
I participated in the surf retreat and also taught yoga. I had a lot of fun with the ladies and learned many new things. Nica was a great coach. Also, with the mental training before and after the session, the dry training, really practicing the movements. That helped me tremendously and gave me a lot of courage to catch waves. I loved the group dynamic. It made me feel more confident. And to feel the motivation of Kim, Nica and Sarah. I am very very grateful I could be there and also teach relaxing or energizing yoga to the ladies. It was totally great, thanks Kim!
You have the confidence to surf faster and steeper waves.
You remain calm even in challenging situations. If fear or anxiety creeps up, you can calm down and regain composure.
You feel much more comfortable in a crowded line-up and can catch your waves more confidently.
You can concentrate on what’s important and keep your focus, no matter what! Because as soon as the waves get a little more challenging, that’s one of the most important skills.
You have a positive mindset, and you can identify the opportunities and possibilities that surf conditions offer you.
With every session, you’ll get more waves and have even more fun surfing!
Because you are more confident, you can also start exploring new surf spots.
And last, but not least — these techniques can also be used in your everyday life! That’s awesome, right? It’s not only about surfing, you are also learning for life!
